Your Support Makes Our Vision a Reality

Your generous gift is deeply valued and contributes to the success of the National Coast Guard Museum. We’re grateful for the generosity of our donors. Their contributions, in all forms are meaningful and impactful, helping our dream become a reality.

Our most significant private donors can explore various naming opportunities within the Museum, connecting their foundation, corporation, or family name with the legacy of the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

Wall of Philanthropy – $50,000

Donations of $50,000 and more, including multi-year pledges, will be publicly acknowledged. Donor names will be displayed on the prominently located Museum Wall of Philanthropy, located in the atrium, which serves as the gateway to the visitor experience.

This large-scale donor recognition installation will be seen by hundreds of thousands of guests annually and will serve as a permanent display of gratitude to those who helped bring the Museum to life.

Within the Wall of Philanthropy, donors will be honored within a historically significant Named Giving Circle:

• Alexander Hamilton Circle – $2.5+ million
• Douglas Munro Circle – $1 million to $2,499,999
• Ida Lewis Circle – $250,000 to $999,999
• Richard Etheridge Circle – $100,000 to $249,999
• Ellsworth Bertholf Circle – $50,000 to $99,999

Museum Deck – $5 Million

The Museum will include five “decks,” aligning with nautical terminology commonly used aboard seagoing vessels. Each deck will host exhibit wings and Special Spaces, and the naming opportunity for each will be prominently placed.

Museum Wing – $2.5 Million

Five Museum wings will showcase the historic contributions and heroic efforts of the USCG. The wings will house all galleries and exhibits, organized by mission. Short of an entire deck, the wings will have one of the largest footprints of all the available naming opportunities.

Museum Special Spaces – $1 to $3 Million

To fully immerse visitors in the USCG experience, the Museum will feature a variety of impactful Special Spaces and activities.

Our Special Spaces include the STEM Center, where visitors will engage with state-of-the-art virtual reality simulations and a technologically advanced event center, where we will host special events, including wedding receptions and retirement celebrations.

Gallery Naming – $500,000 to $1 Million

Each gallery hosts a group of thematically organized exhibits. These cohesive storytelling units showcase the hardships of conflict, advent of technology, and selflessness of USCG Service members. The galleries encompass large footprints within the Museum.

Exhibit Naming – $100,000 to $500,000

Exhibits are focused displays nested within thematic galleries. Each incorporates multimedia elements to vividly depict the USCG story, engaging visitors through artifact exploration and immersive digital and visual storytelling.

The interactive exhibits are the building blocks of the Museum experience. They’re designed to highlight the history of the USCG and its predecessor services, honoring all those who have served.
