United States Coast Guard (USCG) Heroes Deserve Recognition

What if your donation could honor a patriot, thank a loved one, or add your name to the National Coast Guard Museum’s living archive?

With the Commemorative Paver program, your gift can pave the way to the legendary Revenue Cutter Argus—one of the Museum’s living archives. The Argus was one of the first 10 cutters operated by the United States Revenue Cutter Service (which later became the USCG) and the longest to serve in this role.

The Revenue Cutter Argus Promenade will be lined with commemorative pavers, which will welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors for generations.

The Promenade will be located along the Museum’s waterfront façade, starting at the Plaza entrance, and running adjacent to New London’s City Pier Plaza, which is also the future homeport of the USCGC Eagle.

The pavers will be custom-engraved and are 100% tax-deductible. The gray, 3-inch-thick, textured granite pavers are available in two sizes, 4” x 8” and 8” x 8”.

Funds raised from the pavers are and go directly toward the Museum’s construction and support our mission to educate, honor, and inspire visitors—and preserve the USCG’s rich maritime history.

Commemorative Paver spaces are limited—secure your lasting memorial today.

The Argus Promenade is named after one of the original 10 Revenue Marine cutters commissioned on behest of the 1st United States Congress in the early 1790s. Cutter Argus was built in New London where it remained in service for 13 years, a longevity far surpassing the other original cutters.
